Reasons to Pack your Bags

Pico Iyer Said- “we travel, initially, to lose ourselves; and we travel, next to find ourselves.”

Traveling- by listening to this word lots of thoughts come into everyone’s mind. Some lost in their past trips while others like me started to think about their future traveling plans. Does travel mean a venture to an unknown place, a mini-break on the sea shore, adventurous hiking on mountains? or a pleasant sunset destination. Before starting my traveling diary- I would like to discuss something with your friends.

So, let’s start with the Benefits of traveling. I know it feels a little a bit weird to write an article on the benefits because everyone loves traveling as it’s a break from routine tasks, hectic lifestyle, office responsibilities, and everyday pressures. We relish steady and tranquil breakfasts, the new adventures, sports, people, memories, new experiences, new stories, and the hassle-free long walks. Shortage of time or less money is not a rationally justifiable excuse to stay home. The benefits of travel are limitless and are multidimensional - as it changes you not only physically but also psychologically. Travelling is a whole process of planning, packing, exploring new places, and returning home after creating lifelong beautiful memories. Everyone needs the motivation to pack bags and to leave home for a short time to travel. Hence one should know about its advantages and benefits. Here I’m going listing some benefits of traveling-

  • Lifetime unforgettable memories: It’s a personal experience that providereal-lifefe education & creating cherished indelible memories which we can share with our children and grandchildren as treasured stories.
  • Help in forgetting about daily troubles: when one suffers from daily trouble at home then a trip may act as a recharging battery allowing one to relax, rejuvenate, and think to sort out the problem.
  • Motivation: During travel, we may learn new things, skills, and knowledge which we want to learn but are unable to do due to routine hectic schedules. After a long journey, these experiences give us a lot of energy and motivate us to use our acquired new skills.
  • Expansion of perspectives: Usually communication media such as news, the Internet, books, documentaries, etc. tell us about people, their lifestyles, and the culture of different countries but these provide their point of view to us; thus, instead of broadening our mind- these, may narrow down our perspectives. However, traveling provides us real with time opportunities to meet people living in divergent conditions and dealing with everything about life differently; thus, teaching us about the world where we may also challenge our opinion about entirely new destinations and cultures.
  • Enhancement of confidence: Conquering challenges while traveling hhelpsdevelopingin boosting confidence and development of skillwith s to deal life’s hurdles.
  • Uniqueness: Matthew Karsten - Investment in travel is investment in yourself.” Experiences of traveling establish lifelong values, priorities ,and purpose of a person’s life. Uncovering a new place is also a likelihood to discover one’s self in unfamiliar places and defining individuality.
  • Boost communication aptitude: When we travel to another country where people don’t understand our language and we also unfamiliar with their language, traditio,ns or heritage. So, we need to create some ways to illustrate our thoughts with them along with learning few new words making us more resilient while communicating.
  • Creativity improvement: Albert Einstein said Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else thought. By visiting new places people come out from their comfort zone where they get exposed to a new and fresh environments. Thus, exposing our cognitive senses to new stimuli and creating new neural connections in the brain producing new native concepts. At new locat, ions one faces new challenges and tries to find out solutions. Hence generation of new ideas increases creativeness which may help in workplace.
  • Positive influence on health: Everyone’s day start with an annoying alarm in the morning where everyone set it too early to hit the snooze button twice before getting out of bed. There is no time for morning walks and exercise. Then a hectic lifestyle starts with hurried breakfasts, junk food lunches and frozen food dinners appearing inharmonious with a healthy diet. Travelling reduces stress and boost the mood as there is no compulsion to get up early by alarms. It improves the immune system, increases physical fitness as it takes us outdoors providing enough opportunities to get fresh air and vitamin D; thus, elevating mood. It has been said that travel is the healthiest addiction. So, travelling has a positive impact on both physical and mental health.
  • Assures peace of mind: We all have some kind of stress in our daily routine life and travelling help us to detach from the usual drill briefly. Discovering new places, meeting new people and getting over from new challenges may even help us to cherishing what we have left behind. Thus, we get a better perspective of our life and remember all the good things.
  • The Fun of Adventure: Unplanned travelling is always adventurous with lots of thrill and excitement as, we can never be sure what we are going to find. There are numerous adventurous activities like rafting, paragliding, rock climbin Trekking, Bungeejumping, and scuba diving at travelling destinations; thus, incorporating adventures in life. Jaime Lyn Beatty said- Jobs fill your pockets; Adventurers fill your soul.
  • Relationship nourishment: Usually everyone has a busy daily schedule and unable to spend time with family. So, travelling with near and dear ones helps in revive and revitalize relationship with family by sharing foods, visiting different places and having fun time together. A trip at a romantic destination with partner would be an ideal way to bring cheerfulness and intimacy back in relationship.

No one can argue with positive benefits of travelling which range from creating   meaningful relationships to developing new skills. It provides a chance to unreel and see the sights. It also allows to immerse in the local culture and learn more about the world than we could from any book. Even Covid-19 pandemic has taught us the biggest lesson that our day to day lives are very fast-paced. So now it’s safe to get back out and travel to remove stress, anxiety as well as improve happiness and elevate the mood.

Let’s pack your bags and give a break to your routine hectic schedule to create lot of memories and experiences to cherish forever.
